## Description

Prevue Pet Products Universal Small Animal Home / Bungalow #5529 is a spacious home with tight 3/8" wire spacing, making it ideal for a wide variety of small animals including hedgehog, hamster, gerbil, rat and mouse. This large cage has a 6" deep tubby base with rounded edges, which contains mess and is easy to clean. Your pet will get plenty of exercise exploring the tubby and climbing on the two sturdy plastic ramps and two large plastic platforms. Each platform measures 16" long by 8 7/8" wide and each ramp measures 15 1/4" long by 5" wide. Pet parents can comfortably carry the cage using the integrated carrying handles. Interact with your pet through one of two large doors located on the front and top of the cage. Each door measures 13" long and 10" wide and closes securely with a wire latch locking mechanism. The mesh clips-together, is easy to assemble and is held securely in place with six base clips. Expertly designed in the USA, all Prevue cages undergo independent lab testing to conform to the highest levels of pet safety. Review: The Corner Joins Don't Work Well for my older Hands so get yourself some Zip Ties!!s - This cage is perfect for two fancy pet rats. But assembling the cage is a great challenge when you have older hands that don't work well. So I got some Zip Ties and it's much easier than the 24 pieces that it comes with.
Review: Great for mice - I've been using this cage for about three months, first for three female mice and then for a single male mouse. None of them showed any interest in chewing on the plastic connectors, and the bar spacing is good, though I probably wouldn't trust babies in it. I was a little nervous about putting my male mouse in there because he's a small, hyper escape artist, but it's been totally fine. The only thing I had to do was bend one of the doors to eliminate a gap where it was bowing out a bit from the cage, but I was able to do that with just my hands and I'm not particularly strong. I also have a Prevue 528, I like the door on that one better than this cage because it's easier for me to open one handed, but opening the door on this one isn't that much harder. Other than that I like this cage better - lots of space, similar to the 528 but with a more convenient footprint, great opportunities for running around and climbing, and the vertical height makes it easier to fit my 10" Niteangel running wheel, which I put on one of the shelves so I can easily remove, clean, and replace it. The doors are huge, which also makes cleaning and general access easy. There's such a shortage on good wire cages suitable for mice, I'm very happy with this one.

This cage is perfect for two fancy pet rats. But assembling the cage is a great challenge when you have older hands that don't work well. So I got some Zip Ties and it's much easier than the 24 pieces that it comes with.

I've been using this cage for about three months, first for three female mice and then for a single male mouse. None of them showed any interest in chewing on the plastic connectors, and the bar spacing is good, though I probably wouldn't trust babies in it. I also have a Prevue 528, I like the door on that one better than this cage because it's easier for me to open one handed, but opening the door on this one isn't that much harder. Other than that I like this cage better - lots of space, similar to the 528 but with a more convenient footprint, great opportunities for running around and climbing, and the vertical height makes it easier to fit my 10" Niteangel running wheel, which I put on one of the shelves so I can easily remove, clean, and replace it. This product is stupid. It’s a great cage but if you know if for a small pet why would you made four Corners that have 4 long gaps that are wide enough for them to fit through? Don’t buy your mice and possibly rat could escape. Definitely not for hamsters , gerbils !
