Easy swap over as was like for like and i decided to strip the old one down to see if can work out why it had failed. Only thing obvious was some heat marks around the internal grry switch (see screwdriver) and the contacts looked worn down and flat inside this so assume burned itself out which although lasted 3 years is a shame given designed to work with 16a 3kw heaters.
