Review: Excellent thickener for food. - I was looking for an alternative to Xanthan Gum for thickening foods, stews, sauces etc and due to a strict keto diet corn starch and flour were out of the equation. I find that Xanthan Gum leaves a film and it’s hard to master how much to use to get the right consistency. This Bamboo fibre is fantastic, no adverse or funny tastes or films. It works very very well and it doesn’t congeal or coagulate like Xanthan Gum does. Will definitely order again. Highly recommended!

**Q: is this organic? How is it made?**
A: Zimmermann Bamboo Fiber is pure fiber of plant origin and is produced in Germany. It originates
from the stem (botanical immature shoots) of Bamboo plants (Genus: Dendrocalamus asper /
Dendrocalamus latiflorus / Sinocalamus oldhamii) grown in South-, East- and South-East-Asia. 
Produced through careful cleaning, drying and the finest grinding. It is not from organic agriculture.

**Q: How many carbs, and fat in 1 cup? Is it as easy as multiplying the serving of 1tbsp by 16 tbsp? Just want to make sure when adding it to a recipe**
A: 0 Net carbs and 0 Fat.

**Q: Where can I get them in Australia?**
A: I would say check Google. That's what I do when I look for things that I don't know where I might find them. I'm in the US and I ordered it on Amazon when Victoria from Victoria's keto kitchen first mentioned it.

**Q: What is the expiration date of the product? After opening, what is the shelf life?**
A: Best before date is printed on a small label on the back. After opening and stored under dry and cool conditions (not in the fridge!) shelf life is like regular flour.

I've been using Zimmermann bamboo fiber flour for a few years and it's a great quality flour. I've been low carb for about 10 years, and this flour has been a life changer for baked goods.
