We have tried a few different foam mats, but they were the ones that fit together like a puzzle. Well... those don’t work past a certain age once your little one learns to tear the pieces apart. I spent more of a skiphop brand tile mat, and within days my dogs nails made gouges and deep scratch marks on it. It looked horrible in the first week. I was so relieved that this product has stood up to my dogs (and it’s not staticky so dog hair isn’t attracted to it) and my toddler. Added bonus: it looks perfect in my living room and not obnoxious like kid playmats tend to be.Only drawback is that it does tend to slide easier on the floor than I would like it to.
