Perfect for that use, quick rinse with water, multiple brews around the fire with no mess or trash. Fit and seal are tight with the AeroPress no leak cap, I refuse to use the original ported cap. In my opinion the taste is dependent on science not metal vs paper, the ease of use, reliability, reusability, and quality make up for any minute difference in taste a coffee snob touts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the paper filters *by on Reviewed in the United States May 24, 2026* I wish I'd got this sooner instead of muddling with the disposable paper filters for so long. Grounds wash off very easily. It seems to flow a little better than the paper filters too. If you're a coffee snob then the taste is slightly different, maybe better (something to do with what paper absorbs).edit: Finely ground espresso grounds can clog the tiny holes on this filter (just like they tend to compress into a plug with paper filters), but using the plunger to pull everything "up" a bit, and then pressing back down, that seems to help.
