It’s more of a muted brown. It looks like brown and gray mixed just like the picture. I’m not upset because my shirt is a light tan so it matches either but if you actually need chocolate brown then these probably aren’t the best for you. I love that they feel light weight but they are not see through. They are comfy. I did buy a large initially but it was too tight around my thighs and butt and it took some strain to close the button on my stomach, it doesn’t have a lot a stretch. I am curvy and my proportions are not average/standard so it was hard to tell what size I should’ve gotten. I bought an XL next and they fit perfectly. I’ll update the review when I wear them next week. For reference I am 5’7 and my weight fluctuates from 220-230 weekly. Most of my weight is in my lower gut area. I didn’t choose XL long because the length even on the Large was perfect. If you’re wanting a longer bottom to your feet then choose Long with your size. Overall I am satisfied with these.
