Update 8/19/2024. Another update on 9/22/2024 *by N***E on March 7, 2024* Purchased this bag with high hopes of owning this and eliminating extra bags. After two road trips the bag has performed adequately in the mid-size position.Pros- easily expands and shortens. Unless you do what I did. I connected the straps inside to the mid position and tightened them. Upon zipping it shut it would not expand because the straps were holding it. Unlatch the clothing retainer straps and the bag grows and shrinks perfectly.The bag has good capacity.The full width handle allows for easier pushing of this bag. Very nice spinner function.The handle popped up to the first position and the grab area on the bottom actually work well for lifting the bag onto a hotel luggage rack or into your car.The clothing retainers when latched work well.Cons: probably too thick for a carry-onThe clothing retainers tend to slide over and stick out when closing and then zipping it shut becomes a bit of a nuisance.The offset sizes of each half are a nuisance also. We put something under the small half when opened.The zipper can be quirky and those clothing retainers can be in the way when zipping. Plan your zipping time by forcing those retainers over when shutting.Concerns: We have not flown with this bag yet but if packed full it really feels like the bag will perform well as a checked bag.I’m a little concerned about the bag handle popping up and getting damaged through baggage handling systems. There is really nothing else to grip and that button can release the handle easily.I am still hopeful for this bag and it seems sturdy enough if fully loaded. My wife is playing along with my gamble and she is going to laugh at me at the first sign of failure… more to come after a flight and baggage handling test…… well. My wife refuses to use this bag. Too many moving parts and it is not user friendly. I took an international flight with it. 4 stops and I’m simply not returning with this bag. Handle fails to lock on both sides, wheels will not cooperate and spin easily. Seems like they get hung up and stop spinning for some reason. The bag is solid when packed full and the case is good but the loss of handle locking and wheel spinning is unforgivable for the price paid. Suggest to consider other options.9/22/2024I can’t give up on this goofy bag. I love the concept and it is a good looking bag. I returned from International with it after all. When loaded the bag is solid. I took a short two day domestic and packed it up and used it in the shortest setting. I guess I’m trying to kill it. Even though one side of the handle locks because one pin came out and a small black screw came out from somewhere she keeps holding together. I always check my bag and it lived though handling and works. Actually the wheels seem to be better. Maybe the lower center of gravity allows for less stress on the handles. Who knows. No matter I will keep updating as we progress3/1/2024I gave up. I gave the bag to a friend who was leaving for Asia. Told him it would be good enough to use to get purchases home. After that just bin it, trash it, keep it, give it, whatever. Just do not return it. Bag is a great concept but execution of the concept lacks proper engineering or quality control. Because it has no handles on the sides, it is awkward to lift, and I can see the airport people having a hay day trying to throw it with the one handle at the top. ### ⭐ Unreliable luggage don't depend on it! *by T*** on August 11, 2024* The media could not be loaded. I was very excited at first and thought this was the answer to all travelers issue when it comes to luggage. It can be a carry on, medium size and large check in all in 1! I went to use it for the 1st time and travel from the United States to Slovenia, to Paris to watch the Olympics and 7 more other countries. All is good when I was only using it as a carry on, however, the time I already made it as a large and made it as a checked luggage, that's when I finally realized it lacked durability. The bottom part just snapped and broke and the wheels seemed not balance anymore. It was really sad that this happened. I was hoping this can only be my one and only luggage for eternity! It was very disappointing. The sad part is I cannot return it anymore since it purchase it thru amazon.com and I don't know their warranty about it. I will reach out to Velo.com and show them all my photos and videos upon realizing how unreliable this luggage is when you start to upside it and check it in at the airport baggage.
