I found that if I cut cantaloupe, peaches, or apples into flat, even surfaces about 1/8 inch thick, then I could use these cookie cutters to cut out flowers. These fruit flowers are absolutely adorable!! I've used them on a "watermelon cake" and for sending to school with my kids.Cleanup was easy -- I ran them through the dishwasher, in the top rack, in a small closed plastic basket that is meant for washing baby items.I haven't yet tried using these cookie cutters on dough, but they look to me like they would work well with dough, too.Overall, I am delighted with these cookie cutters and expect to use them many times in the future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for what I needed *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2017* These were great. It was a little difficult to clean, but I just soaked in water as other reviewers suggested and then it was fine. I'm also guessing that letting the fondant dry would also make for easy clean up.
