A: I put it on a sponge in an open plastic sandwich bag works fine

A: You can use that solution or you can use distilled water. The crystals in the tube swells when u add liquid. Some tubes come pre- treated and ready to use. If the crystals are hard you have to add solution. If crystal are already swelled it's ready to use.
