I really like the concept of this suitcase and wanted to give it another try. Since it broke within an hour of first use, I thought maybe it was just faulty mechanics. When I went to request an exchange, there was only the option for a straight return, no questions asked. I thought that a bit odd, but there you go. For the price point, I think they have more work to do.--I had high hopes for this as I like the idea of the expanding functionality. Unfortunately, the thing broke on the first leg of my trip. First, I had to gate check my bag. At its smallest, it is quite short, but it is wider than my standard carrying on, and because of the hard shell, there is no squishing or squeezing to make it fit. I do wish it had a slimmer profile. So depending on the plane, you might not even be able to carry it on. So, I had to gate check. From the time I handed my suitcase to the gate attendant, to receiving it at my connection, just a mere 45 minutes later, the handle broke. At first I thought I could fix it, but the handle is literally the piece that holds the whole thing together, so if that malfunctions in any way, you lose all functionality, which is the purpose of this suitcase. I am going back to my 10 year old W@lm@rt suitcase that cost $30.
