There are indeed four wheels on the far ends of the undersides of the treads but they are for stabilization and not for driving the toy. Instead the center of each tread boasts a nice sized rubber tire which really moves this toy along and a good clip. Very easy to control and I'm sure that even a young child could master it right out of the box. Not a fan of the songs with children singing on them but I understand that this might be a popular feature for little kids. The colors are bright and vibrant as are the light up eyes. 10/10
