**Q: How doe's the fit fit on,  would it stay on outside in the wind?**
A: The lid clips very securely onto the rim around the top of the body.  It is not an airtight seal, but it is very secure, actually takes some effort to remove once clipped on.  Would definitely stay on in windy weather.

When I went to buy two new garbage cans for a upcoming party at Home Depot I found out that they do not carry the lids to them. Um what?! Why wouldn’t you get the freaking lid when you buy a garbage can? Well I had to turn to good old Amazon to track down some lids. I checked all the sizes and numbers before ordering to make sure I didn’t get the wrong size and they fit perfect. They both click on so you know it is sealed, which is great because it just started to rain here and now I don’t have to try and drag them under the overhang so they don’t fill up again.
