Review: Saved my bacon after the recent ice storm. - I'm glad I had these when the ice storm hit Tennessee. Everywhere I walked outside was a sheet of ice for several days. Wearing these cleats I was able to clean up fallen branches, cross the street to check on the neighbors, etc. No way would I have attempted that without some kind of traction aid (I'm 70 and don't need any more broken bones). They seem pretty durable, and fit securely on my hiking boots - never tried to come off. If they start to fail I'll update this review. For now I give five stars.

I'm glad I had these when the ice storm hit Tennessee. Everywhere I walked outside was a sheet of ice for several days. Wearing these cleats I was able to clean up fallen branches, cross the street to check on the neighbors, etc. No way would I have attempted that without some kind of traction aid (I'm 70 and don't need any more broken bones). They seem pretty durable, and fit securely on my hiking boots - never tried to come off. If they start to fail I'll update this review. For now I give five stars.

These are easy to mount and good for not slipping on Ice. I wouldn't recommend them for mountaineering as the spikes are very short. But if you're looking for something that you can use for dog-walking, hiking, or running in icy/frozen surfaces, plus being able to easily walk on sidewalks, these are great. They provide great traction on ice and frozen snow, allowing you to walk on frozen slopes. Arrived earlier than promised, work great.
