The dvd with all the Shotokan kata is itself worth the price being charged here for all three. Remember that you might or might not have compatibility issues with one or two or all three of these; but desertcart's return policy means you have no risk, so go for it! I'm able to play one of these that I bought separately on my dvd player. The other two play on my computer. So go ahead and buy these; they are remarkably good in every way that counts; production quality, quality of instruction, amount of information, and so on. Review: Cette box de 3 dvd est pour moi un indispensable pour tous les pratiquants de karaté shotokan. 3 dvd d'environ 1h chacun (les menus ne sont pas tous traduits en français) : - Kata : bien filmé et en couleurs, le son crépite parfois mais ces vidéos dates de 1988, un autre défaut, c'est qu'il y a 17 katas sur les 26 du style shotokan, les applications de katas ne sont pas toujours exhaustives mais restent simples et efficaces - Kihon : reprends les fondamentaux, le salut, les positions, les attaques, les blocages... - Kumite : différents types de combats qui peuvent être effectués avec un partenaire dans un dojo En résumé, ces dvd sont bien faits même si ils commencent à prendre de l'âge. En les regardant, on peut apprendre plein de choses. On peut réviser nos katas / bunkaï, travailler nos kihons, positions, attaques, défenses ... on peut admirer des combats "souples" et d'autres plus "traditionnels". Cela peut même aider à créer des cours. Les grands défauts pour moi sont l'absence de 9 katas du karaté shotokan + les 5 katas de la SKI et le son qui est loin d'être parfait.
