Splintered everywhere. I intended to use this as a toy bin... but I don’t want a splinter-filled baby. Instructions were barely discernible— although it seemed easy enough to put together (I figured it out on my own...) the clips that held the bottom up were crooked and not screwed into the wood all the way. Very disappointed, overall. Definitely returned.

**Q: How durable, could it survive a toddler climbing on it?**
A: This is a lovely storage chest but I don't think I'd trust it to hold a toddler.

**Q: What material are the straps in the front of the trunk made from?**
A: Mine is a lighter version of this trunk, but looks like made the same.  The straps are a thin leather or imitation leather.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big sturdy trunk

This thing was easy to put together. It's perfect for storing our outside cushions. The trunk is in the house, though. I wouldn't put it outside. The only thing I don't like are the stiff leather straps that appear cheap. They stick up into the air instead of hanging down when the trunk lid is closed. We buckled them (also a cheap buckle) and maybe by the time we will need to open the trunk in the spring, the leather has "conditioned" itself to hang down.
