The bulk of the book was on the basics of the main types of hydroponics systems with instructions on how to build each system. The instructions came with supplies and detailed steps adequate to build directly from. The last several sections turned out to be an incredibly useful reference which reminded me why good books are much easier to use than searching on the internet. It had sections on each type of plant commonly grown with hydroponics (at least in the author's experience). No weed section. :-) It also had hints on how go germinate seeds and much more. Highly recommended book. My bible for hydroponics. Material lists are complete but there could have been fewer photographs and more diagrams to clear up construction details. For some reason the text is printed in grey ink rather than black which is hard on my old eyes.
