Review: Strong and Stable - This camera mount is a hoss, the strength and rigidity really show. Adjustability is excellent and the clamp seems like it will last if not abused. The ball end is just OK, I upgraded it with a Ulanzi heavy duty ball end and it's perfect now. My camera isn't very heavy as cameras go, it's a camcorder with no additional lenses but I'm sure this will hold a DLSR with a lens attached just fine. No sag whatsoever the height adjustment wasn't nearly as bad as some reviewers stated. It's extremely versatile and the size is perfect for a desk or workbench. The stability is great with little to no vibration when bumping the desk, nothing the image stabilization of the camera can't handle but even that's not really necessary as if the desk moves it seems to move with the desk that's how rigid it is.

This is so well built, lightweight, and the hydraulic knobs work great. You don't have to strain your hand trying to tighten; a simple light turn, maybe a half turn, and you can lock or unlock to change the angle. The base bracket is solid, too. It's both the clamp and the screw; the handle to turn the clamp screw is hefty. The round base that the boom attaches to is wide and tall, so when the boom is attached, it doesn't move at all. Well worth the money! That said, I need to send it back because I also need an extension. I was going to use it to mount my Lightburn camera for my laser; it's perfect except for the extension. I've never seen a mount like this so well-made; I'm bummed that it won't work for me. And I checked, and there's nothing I can add to make this work, which is disappointing.
