I just ordered another pair in navy. Metal rings on the front passed through an airport metal detector for me, but your experience may be different. I would really like to have a closet full of these pants and to have them as my go-to uniform pants. I would really like to stop buying the “other brand” that cost quite a bit more but do not fit my waist quite as well. I would…but I cannot for one reason that I have been trying to convince myself that it should not matter. Although the cargo pockets are deep and spacious, the hip pockets are not. I know, I know, it is such a little inconvenience when talking about a pair of pants that are a good price, durable, resist water like a duck, and are a great fit, but I am a creature of habit. Decades of international travel have created a habit of carrying my wallet and money clip in my hip (front) pocket to keep them safe from pick-pocketing thieves. If these pocket were only a bit longer, maybe just by 3/4”, I would not be terrified that my wallet would fall out every time I sit down. Ok, I just realized this is a me problem and I gave them the fifth star.
