I'd upgraded to 2gb fiber internet many months ago but only more recently began adding other items that actually had 2.5gb ports, and needed to swap out my old 1gb network switches. These were the better bargain I could find at the time for the price, quality is fine, and mine doesn't get overly hot. I only use the ethernet ports though. It is nice that they are two rows of four, so it's a little more compact than a longer one where all 8 ports are lined out. It's a bargain, it handles 2.5gb, I'd definitely buy again.
