**Q: can this connect straight to a 45 degree bend**
A: Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, this can connect to a 45° Elbow. From the male end down, this will need to be vitreous enamelled. From the female end up, this will need to be Shieldmaster twin walled flue.

**Q: Does a locking band make it more air tight and do you sell them**
A: Good Afternoon, 

Thank you for your enquiry with us today, is this connecting to another piece of shieldmaster twinwall? If so the second section will have the locking band that will seal to this adaptor. The single skin end will slot inside the stove outlet or a vitreous pipe and you would seal this with fire cement. If I can assist you further at all please let me know

When the adapter is in place within the collar of the stove and has been connected to the length aboeve the effective height is approx. 100mm.
