I installed an extra HDMI cable plus a component AV cable, just left the ends hanging out, in preparation for adding components. They will not fit into any junction box. You could however make a stand-off box from standard construction materials, somewhat like building a small wall-section that you surface mount, and install the PowerBridge as normal into the stand-off wall **Q: Wouldn't it be cheaper to run a new outlet, install low voltage bracket, and CL3 rated hdmi cable?** A: Sure, if you are an electrician. You may end up also taking more space. The electrical needs to be in its own box, separate from AV cables. This unit seals the electrical parts in its own "box" and allows you to run the cables you need for AV. I have done both and this is just super simple for the scenario where you need to move a plug up the wall and would still like AV cables to run down to where the source is below. The HDMI cable is still required with this set up, so if you are doing a straight up parts cost comparison, then the numbers may look even worse. For ease of install and no permit required, this one gets my vote every time. **Q: whats the difference between this and the two-ck model?** A: The two ck is pre-wired, all you have to do is connect the connectors. With this model you will have to connect the provided wire to each receptacle, which is very easy, everything is marked. **Q: How can I use this if i have horizontal studs?** A: I'm assuming you have horizontal "fire break" studs in between vertical studs. You'll have to cut away the sheet rock at those horizontal studs and drill a hole through the horiz. boards. Then fish the wires through the hole and then patch the sheet rock. The electrical connections are easy to setup and each box has a cover to protect the wiring. The only thing that I didn’t see in the box was a template for the hole sizes of each box. Because of the flaps that hold the boxes on to the drywall a template could have been helpful.
