The brush arrived in an unbranded red box, which looked suspicious, but the brush looked alright. The bristles are very soft even when dry and the handle feels premium. The water retention is ridiculous compared to my boar one and I can feel the weight changing after having dipped it in water. So, straight out of the box and with no "getting used to" period I managed to get perfect lather from my Mitchell's wool fat soap in under a minute. Impressive, to say the least. We are talking about super thick, shiny, bouncy foam. Very similar to what you would get out of a modern Gillette can. The touch on the face and the behaviour of the bristles is pure bliss. In conclusion, a good brush just saved me tons of time and frustration on my shaving routine. And we are talking about a synthetic bristle, faux ivory handle, cruelty-free brush. No badgers need to be killed in order to enjoy a premium barbershop level shaving anymore. The product is perfect and the price is right.
