I don’t do this often and of course nobody serious about macro would be doing this but this adapter makes it easy to have the option. The resultant focal plane is definitely a little curved, depending on the lens, not bad but you’re best off using this for 3 dimensional subjects and not squared-off flat level surfaces. Bright corner to corner, pretty sharp, and the distortion is not bad. The glass is amazing, and it’s coated too. The aluminum frame is solid and screws in perfectly. I took a bunch of different pictures of flowers and bugs, good sun and some overcast days. I think the photos came out pretty good for what they are, but I also wanted a real macro lens too. I ended up finding an old Nikon Macro 105!without VR for only a few more $ than this adapter.
