Review: Wonderful Starter! - If you new to Sourdough baking this took the stress out of it all for me. Although I thought it was expensive, for me it was worth it. I was worried it was a little thin but once mixed with flour and water it got thicker and on a warm window sill it grew quick within 2 hours it was rising quickly and nice and thick. I have made a variety of cakes from the discard which taste awesome, they bake well and come out well risen. I have made Banana Bread, Carrot Cake up to now and it's only been a week! I have yet to bake bread as I need more time so the weekend I will be up for that challenge and trust I will have a nice sturdy bread. The consistency of the growing starter sourdough is thick and held up well, you can add a variety of different flours to this starter dough, I now have several pots all using different flours like malted & wholemeal also white from that one little sachet. Some are now sleeping in the fridge ready for the big bread bake off LOL!!! Just follow the instructions u cannot go wrong and put in a warm light place and feed daily, if you cannot use daily put it in the fridge to sleep till you need to wake it up :) Im so excited to make bread very soon. Many varieties of bread I can bake including scones, biscuits, pancakes from this one little package, what ever your heart desires 🥰 My hubby is very happy now he sees where his money went LOL!!

If you new to Sourdough baking this took the stress out of it all for me. Although I thought it was expensive, for me it was worth it. It came in a sealed bag and I followed the instructions, I used Rye flour as its know to rise easier & faster than the white strong wheat. I was worried it was a little thin but once mixed with flour and water it got thicker and on a warm window sill it grew quick within 2 hours it was rising quickly and nice and thick. I have made a variety of cakes from the discard which taste awesome, they bake well and come out well risen. I have made Banana Bread, Carrot Cake up to now and it's only been a week! I have yet to bake bread as I need more time so the weekend I will be up for that challenge and trust I will have a nice sturdy bread. The consistency of the growing starter sourdough is thick and held up well, you can add a variety of different flours to this starter dough, I now have several pots all using different flours like malted & wholemeal also white from that one little sachet. Some are now sleeping in the fridge ready for the big bread bake off LOL!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sourdough starter

I have been struggling with my sourdough starter lately so I needed help. Note, I'm not a sourdough expert. I followed the instructions that came with the delivery and wow, it took just a few hours for the starter to double in size, something I hadn't seen before, I actually had to take some out of the jar to prevent overflowing. I could start baking on the same day I and my bread turned out to be delicious.
