It had more grunt, chewed the paper in 2 directions so you got confetti rather than strips which had a chance of being reconstructed but for the money, it's fine. Nice and quiet in use and with a handy side extension to use on a bigger bucket, it's good for both small jobs and bulk shredding sessions. I wish I'd notice it just turns things into vertical strips, not complete shredding but I just assumed they all did that.
