Beam could be narrower focused - it has a very bright, fairly wide centre however. Impressed with red colour filter option, battery life good (second light setting, roughly equivalent to my old Clulite brightest setting) lasts at least 5 hours vs 2 for my old Clulite. It’s not heavy and easy to use while scanning with binoculars looking for eye shine.
