I bought 2 cans and used it to laquer an oak bannister rail. I sprayed it onto the bare wood and it covered really well. I gave it 4 coats, but one of the cans was faulty and I couldn't get it to stop spraying so wasted nearly half a can. The bannister looked great when I'd finished, although the satin finish was more of a gloss. Although it dried quickly (touch dry in about 30 mins) it seems to take a long time for the laquer to harden. I had to leave the rail for 2 days before I could handle it without leaving finger marks in the laquer.
