I give my fish three handfuls every other day. But I have a huge pond with more fish and they could probably survive for a very long time finding their own food in the pond. Thano** A: To be honest I have no idea but I always buy big sizes for my pond fish and I get through quiet a bit. However when I have changed to a different type for Summer (or winter) the sticks I have left I use again the following season and they have never gone off. I would think you should be ok to buy larger sizes (depending on how many fish you have of course). **Q: Will this feed tropical fish?** A: These sticks are intended for pond (i.e. cold water) fish and are probably too big for most tropicals to manage. Great value for money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for goldfish in a small pond *by V***2 on 20 May 2026* I have fed our pond goldfish on this product for many years and offers them a balanced and nutricious diet which they appear to thrive upon. In terms of size, it is easily eaten by the larger fish, but the smaller ones, including the fry cope with too. Obviously it is too large for the fry, but they simply seem to "gang up" on it and several of them have a go at a single piece simultaneously. Quality wise it is great and the 1.65kg tub tends to last me a whole summer; little and regular is the key to ensure that your pond does not acquire a layer of uneaten and decaying food at the bottom. My pond therefore remains clean year round. It is easy to dispense and i have to admit I measure the quantities of food out and vary it according to how warm the season is. From May to September I use twice the quantity I do for other months. November through to March, I feed them very small amounts of a Tetra product for low temperatures, but very little. The food is manufactured from a variety of fish and vegetable products and for me, it provides the ideal solution for a 2000 litre pond stocked with common goldfish.
