I did have to dremel out the channel a little bit to make some of the wider reels fit but I knew that before I even purchased them so that was easy enough. Once the reels are locked in place they will never come out in rough conditions, couldn’t be happier with these rod holders.

This rod holder is amazing, I’m so happy I got a pair of them for my atv. I did have to dremel out the channel a little bit to make some of the wider reels fit but I knew that before I even purchased them so that was easy enough. Once the reels are locked in place they will never come out in rough conditions, couldn’t be happier with these rod holders.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be prepared to make some modifications

Be careful, just because your rod fit a 1 1/4" diameter opening it does not mean it will fit in this holder. The groove for the reel is very narrow, it might fit some 1000 size reels (I own a few and only some will fit). If you have larger reels, forget it unless you're prepared to make some modifications by widening the groove. I used a box cutter and whittled the grooves wider (not pretty but functional) but you can use pretty much anything that can cut through plastic.
