The pumping system on this one is better; however was a little difficult to figure out. Had to call Beckett for instructions since there were none in the box. Once they explained the design, it was a piece of cake. It's a very peaceful, love to look at fountain...the birds even enjoy drinking from it. Review: Beckett Fountain - If you are looking for a fountain with water sounds, this isn't it. It is really well made with lots of details and I like it. Not heavy, but it still has weight to it. Come in 2 parts. Boy and dog 1 pc., fountain 2nd pc. It does not have a large spray as it is meant to work like a real water fountain. It is not completely exposed to the outdoors, but it is more exposed than not. I have had no issues with paint flaking off. I do put it away in the wintertime, but it spends from April all the way through till October outside. I have been very pleased with this purchase.
