I have indeed purchased one of these previously for my garden pond and it was that which influenced me to buy this huge liner. What impressed me was the quality; strength yet flexibility of this liner (dare I call it a tarp.....???). I have a very large workshop at the bottom of my garden sitting right beneath a huge Ash tree. The workshop roof has a very shallow pitch which means every Autumn I go into battle with the Ash tree as it sheds millions....no billions....actually trillions of leaves...most onto my workshop roof. Where they sit and decay...aaarrrggghhh! Every year I have to shovel off severel inches of rotting leaves. This has caused my red shingle roof to deteriorate to the point that it has started leaking - not good. For the last 3 yrs it's been temporarily covered by grey; green and blue tarps held in place with bricks and it looks terrible. Replacement roofing was going to cost me about £7,000 which I can't afford. Then I had a streak of brilliance - why not use a pond liner...? I've let the roof thoroughly dry out; removed all loose tiles and swept away all the crud then carefully (it was a heck of a job..) covered my roof with my 10m x 10m liner. It was massive and obscured the workshop completely. Trimming it to size using a Stanley Knife was breeze and the securing it on all 4 sides to keep the wind out. It's worked a treat! It's now settled over the old felt shingles and taken on their shape so it looks really good. Its texture means leaves can't stick and blow off (or can be swept off) and it saved me £7,000!! Even if it lasts 5 yrs it'll have been worth it but I suspect it'll last a bit longer than that.
