Product Description 85mm f1.8 Portrait Lens - EF Lens for Canon BENOISON 85mm Prime Lens for Canon EF - 85mm f1.8 Manual Focus (MF) Use in M Mode When using a manual lens, the camera should be set to "M" mode. Since manual lenses lack electronic contacts for lens recognition, the inability to automatically adjust exposure values may result in photos that are too dark or too white. Manual setting of ISO, Aperture and shutter speed is required. F00 Display Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, "F00" is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information. At the same time, the aperture information cannot be adjusted from the camera, and the aperture value F/1.8-22 can only be adjusted by the len's Aperture Ring. Manual Focus (MF) FULLY MANUAL LENS, no electrical contacts→ no autofocus→ no image stabilization When using a manual focus lens (non-autofocus), you must rotate the "Manual Focus Ring" at the front of the lens to achieve sharp focus; otherwise, the subject will appear blurry in the viewfinder. Additionally, the aperture can only be adjusted via the "Aperture Ring" on the lens. For optimal results, ensure the viewfinder diopter is correctly set for your eyesight. Practice adjusting both rings to master precise control over focus and exposure. Why can't I press the shutter after mounting the lens? Switch to mode M, and then you can use our lens. Review: Well worth the money. - I am no expert and I'm still learning how to use fully manual lenses but I have found this lens one of the easier ones to use and I've had good results taking portraits using it, I would advise people to use a good tripod and at least a two second delay on the camera to avoid any shake, it's definitely worth the money and I'm looking forward to getting out and about with it now spring has arrived.
Review: It offer more than the price cost. - Focus wheel Functionality is smooth. At aperture 1.8 sharpness is as good as the price can be 6/10. Great!
