It’s flat and compact, yet keeps food cool until lunch time. We have had them for a year and a half now, so they definitely hold up well. My kids love to pack lunchables or sandwiches along with a juice box and snacks. I put the ice packs aside by side slightly overlapping. Lunchable or sandwich on the butterfly on top, then juice box and Apple sauce pouch on the ice pack that goes slightly underneath.
