When I opened the door to let the dogs in we immediately had around 100 of them in the hallway.I bought this unit only a week ago and positioned it away from the house at the back of the garage (which is a damp and dark place) and set it up about 12 inches off the ground. Within 2 days the trap was full. I have never seen so many mosquitoes. Again 2 days later, it was full. I recently moved the trap to another position which also seemed to have a lot of mosquitoes in the area. It is like mosquito massacre. Overnight the trap was half full. Already we have noticed a huge reduction in the numbers getting in to the house and also clinging to the windows when the lights are on. This with the added measure of clearing away any breeding grounds (Pools of standing water e.g. water butts, blocked gutters etc.) is certainly making a big difference.Probably one of the best £55 I have spent. ### ⭐⭐⭐ item difficult to start *by M***) on 19 July 2022* The manual is very basic. However I followed the instructions but the fan does not work. I finally found an on button and it is now working ### ⭐⭐ I had hoped that this would be a silver bullet ... *by E***1 on 9 August 2016* I had hoped that this would be a silver bullet for my mosquito problem and I am not sure how effective this bait is as I have only seen 2-3 mosquitos in the trap over a 3 week period. It does catch lots of moths and I have continued to get bitten, despite ensuring its away from the home, near the source of the problem and located at ground level.
