It is featherweight, but sturdy, with both design & size well conceived. The basic deck is prefect size for standard cards, cutting & scoring without having to open the extension arm. I usually prefer a guillotine style, but this combo model does it all so conveniently that it has already become my new favorite. I even bought one for my niece. We appreciate the safety design & features because she has young children (3 & 6) who could possibly gain access to it. BTW, this is identical to the black Stampin' Up product & $3.00 cheaper.
