The pancake is not too sweet. The red bean paste in the middle provides the sweetness, but not in a cloying way. One makes a great snack. Get Chef Mike to heat you up three of them (30 seconds on high separated; not stacked) put a dab of butter on two of them, stack and pour a little syrup over them. Or, if you're adventurous, use a little Mike's Hot Honey. Then a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Voila!

Taste is fine though they're pretty small. The pancake part is a bit sticky and the texture is a little weird, but I think that's just what happens when you put a sweet not-shoer-dry bread in a package, I've had the same offness in shelf stable waffles from good stores. I like these occasionally enough that making them is not worth it and buying fresh is not possible for me so I'd rebuy for sure.
