Got nothing from the seller to sort it, valet companies could not promise to remove the smell so choose this option after giving the car a good clean inside made little difference. It is straight forward to do, just a little confusion on wether to leave the fan on for the last half hour in the car. I left all doors and boot open for a couple of hours afterwards. Strong smell of Chlorine for first few days, not terrible, like the swimming baths. After a week it was faint, then after another week it was fine. I bought a vehicle and the previous owner was a smoker and had also let a cigarette burn out in the door compartment. The chemical reaction is incredibly strong and the smell is very overpowering to start with. You MUST air out the car as long as possible but once the chemical smell dissipates there is ZERO odour.
