## Description

LEVOIT Superior 6000S Designed to Enhance Your Whole House Comfort and Well-being!The principle of LEVOIT Exclusive Evaporative Tech:Evaporative technology utilizes a high-speed fan to create a spiraling air current that accelerates water evaporation, ensuring effective air circulation throughout the entire space, thus enhancing environmental humidity. The benefits of LEVOIT Exclusive Evaporative Tech:1. Enhanced mist distribution: By drawing in air and emitting ultra-fine water particles, it efficiently humidifies your entire home, covering an expansive area of up to 3,000 sq. ft.2. Even Humidity Everywhere: Our built-in fan promotes uniform and rapid humidity control throughout the room.3. Hidden Pure Moisture: The evaporative humidifier emits no white dust, and no mist, meanwhile, not wet furniture.4. Due to supply chain adjustments, some units now come with a gray filter instead of the blue one. This change does not affect the product's performance or filtration efficiency.Note:1. Suitable for all water types, including tap water.2. The filter lasts 3-6 months, depending on the environment and water quality.3. To protect the water pump, we recommend our valued users use a water filter sponge to better remove impurities and foreign matter in the water, keep the water pump smooth, and achieve better humidification effects.TROUBLESHOOTING:Why does a yellow substance or white scale appear on the surface of the filter?--Residue or discoloration on the filter is due to filtering impurities like calcium and magnesium ions from water. Our tests confirm that it has no impact on air quality or humidification efficiency. Feel free to use it for over 3 months. Why the humidity on the screen is different from the household hygrometer?--In tests, the sensor, placed 1m from the humidifier, maintains humidity accuracy within 5%.Is there a designated installation orientation for the filters?--When installing the filters, please ensure that the section with the silk-screen print is facing upwards. Why the target humidity cannot be fixed in auto mode?--Auto mode is the humidity range set by the machine as most suitable for the human body. If you want to customize the humidity, you can choose the humidity mode.Where to buy filters?--Please search B0D5CZBTJS to find.

Review: Whole home humidifier - This is a review after having for 2 weeks. Background about me: I looked around at many different options for home humidification. Where I live in the North East, summers are usually hot and humid and fall and winter tends to be very dry. We had a particularly dry spell at the end of October, which lead to sinus issues and I needed some relief. I thought of getting a professionally installed humidifier for my central air system, but decided against that as running a water line to the attic which would be prone to freezing was not acceptable. I also looked at portable steam humidifiers but the choices were limited and not great. So, an evaporative humidifier it is. I have a large space; room-sized humidifiers don't do anything because of forced air heat (I have a venta airwasher which I am going to retire), so I needed something with a lot more oomph. I've tried ultrasonic misters in the past, and they are novel, but generally don't do a good job. The Levoit 6000s fits what I wanted. A humidifier that can work for my whole house (~2000ft²) and doesn't need constant filling and attending. In this super low humidity time of the year, 6 gallons lasts maybe 36 hours. The machine actually evaporates that much water, it is pleasantly surprising. RH increases rapidly up until about 45%, then it is slower as it diffuses. Seems to cease increasing the humidity once RH is about 60% and the temp is around 70F. Which is fine, 50% RH makes your nose happy and doesn't make everything feel damp. A steam humidifier might over humidify an area. The unit stops operating with about 1/2gal left in the tank. The water at this point turns yellowish, due to calcium being left behind. I also notice when the water level starts getting very low, and the humidity is somewhat high, you'll hear a slight tricking sound as the water from the pump isn't evaporating on the pads and is dripping back into the tank. Its not obnoxious though. Automatically shuts off when the water level is too low to continue. Has 3 fan speeds. I leave it on 2 as it just disappears into background noise. Speed 3 is a bit loud, I measured around 41db from 1m away. Speed 2 is below 30db, my meter won't read it. You can also turn off the lights, so if you are a light sleeper this won't bug you. Power usage on fan speed 1 is 3 watts, speed 2 is 8 watts, speed 3 is 21 watts. The bottom line is, this works great for your whole house, even with forced air HVAC, it has a lot of nice creature features you'll appreciate, and doesn't seem to need a lot of attention. It brings the humidity to around 50% quickly, but don't expect it to bring the humidity much above that on speed 2. Generally, that's the sweet spot for happy nose and skin anyway. The design is resistant to leaks and spills. If you can lift it in and out of your sink or bathtub go for it, otherwise it comes with a silly hose thing to fill it. Update: a few months later. This thing still rocks. I added a screenshot of an independent analysis of how fast this can throw the humidity out there. I replaced the pads with blue ones, and it's working just fine. Keep up with the mold and mildew growth, otherwise it starts to smell and can give you allergies. Run the unit dry and let it sit empty and dry for a few days every now and then. I bleach the pads and just dump a little bit of bleach in the unit every so often (like a couple tablespoons). It makes everything smell (like bleach) for a while, but it does the trick with sanitizing everything in the machine. Suggest doing the bleach treatment in a garage or other space where you won't be breathing it.
Review: 6 MONTHS UPDATE. Arizona approved. It works. - 6 months update: I have had this for 6 months now and still very pleased with it. Added below a few things that worth mentioning: 1. No issues with the pump. Works just fine. 2. The water dripping noise is indeed something that happens, especially when the water level drops below half way. Doesn’t happen all the time but it does happen. If you have it in your room and you’re a light sleeper, it can be annoying. The way I fix this is by refilling the tank all the way up. I’ll try to experiment with other solutions and report back. A tip regarding reusing the wicks/filters - Every 2-3 months, they get a good amount of salt/calcium deposits on them, as expected. I have been able to reuse them by putting them in a descaler solution for an hour or so to break the salts, and then I wash them thoroughly. They look like brand new! Overall still very happy with it. Would recommend. 2 month update: Without the AC running in the house, the humidity is consistently higher compared to when we had to have the AC on. What has worked better for me is keeping the humidifier on low speed 24/7. It keeps the living room/dining room humidity between 55-62% and only have to refill the tank once every 3 days. Also, the pump is less noisy while on low speed. I think during the summer, with the AC on, having a more consistent humidity will be more difficult so keeping it on low 24/7 might not work then and I’ll probably switch to the auto function. Original review: No one paid me to write this review. I bought this to increase the humidity in our 1700sq ft house. And it did exactly that. It has a huge tank that can last you more than 2 days if you use the Auto Shut off function. If you keep the fan on high, it usually lasts slightly over a day. I’ve used it non-stop for 3 weeks now and there are my comments: Pros -Huge tank, easy to fill using the adaptable hose that comes with it (attaches pretty much to any faucet) -Brings the humidity up to 50-55% quickly and maintains it there without issues. -Even at high speed, the fan is not that loud. You can hear it but it’s not really bothersome to me (kinda like white noise). At low speed you can’t really hear it and at medium speed is barely noticeable. -Very easy to clean and maintain -Has wheels at the bottom so you move it from one room to another pretty easily -You can use wifi to turn on/off, adjust the humidity while away from the house -If it runs low on water, it automatically runs until the filters/wicks dry out so that they don’t get moldy -I haven’t noticed any filter discoloration or anything like that. The filters do eventually have salts on them, which is to be expected if you’re using tap water that is not that soft. Having said that, the machine comes with a small brush that helps clean those off. -The lights can turn off completely. Cons -The price point can be prohibitive for some people. It goes on sale sometimes for $200 (from $250). -Every now and then, the pump turns on to bring water from the tank up to the filters. That can be a bit noisy but it lasts for less than 10 seconds. If you’re sleeping at night and you have this in your room, turn the auto shut off function on (or sleep mode if you want). This machine can easily keep the humidity in a room 60-65% (maybe even more) without needing to run very often, thus decreasing any type of noise considerably. I will update this review after a few more weeks of use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Happy So Far! But...
*by P***R on December 8, 2023*

TL;DR I am very happy so far with my 6000s -- This is my third Levoit product, and I've always been impressed with their engineering and design. While the 6000s works WELL, it feels like it's missing a few details that would make it outstanding and thoroughly satisfying to use. I'm using this unit in my bedroom. I've been using the unit for about a month, in the winter (so the heat's been on and the ambient humidity has been low). First, the good: It does an excellent job humidifying the room quickly and keeping the room at a set humidity. I've verified this with an external hygrometer. This is what you buy a humidifier for, so... win! The water reservoir is ENORMOUS, which is a good thing. It has an unusual (but pleasant) method to fill the water: You take the top of the humidifier off (the part with all the electronics), wheel the humidifier base near to your sink, and you connect a plastic hose (with an extremely effective universal connector at the faucet end) to your faucet and place the other end of the tube into the humidifier. Filling takes a few minutes. Then you wheel the humidifier base back into position, put the top back on, and you're back to humidifying. Not lifting, no spilling... very effective and clever. So far, cleaning has also been super easy. I clean the humidifier every time I fill it. I dump out the small amount of remaining water from the base... rinse the base with hot water... and wipe it all out. I also wipe any other surfaces on the humidifier that look like they might need some attention. This has kept things nice and clean so far. Note that the instructions suggest cleaning every three days; I've been clearning at each fill-up, so more like once every week or 10 days, depending on the ambient humidity. Now, for the things that "need improvement": Auto mode is not at all useful. It adjusts the fan speed based on the room temperature and current humidify. Good, right? Well, not so much. It keeps the fan running at low (and thus the humidifier pumping out humidity) even after the target humidity level is reached. As a result, we had a night where we hit 60% humidity in the bedroom. So... that was the last time we used "auto" mode. The target humidity mode (where the fan comes on when the humidity is below a level that you set) works better... but this also requires that you pre-set a fan speed. So, whether you're 20% below your target or 5% below your target, it runs that humidifier at that speed. Which is not the best possible idea. The current firmware also seems to have a bit of a glitch in that the fan shuts off and turns on repeated in short cycles. Which isn't great. I have three Levoit air filters... and one feature that they have, that I *really* miss on the 6000s is the LIGHT DETECTION feature. With this feature, the display on the device automatically turns off in low light conditions... which is awesome for a bedroom. I *really* wish the 6000s had this feature. In summary... I like this product, but with just a few changes it would be a GREAT product. Still... definitely recommended.
