Review: Great Black Gravel – Cloudy at First but Clears Fast - I recently added this black gravel to my aquarium and overall I’m very happy with it. The deep black colour makes the fish stand out beautifully and gives the tank a clean, modern look. It really transforms the whole setup. When I first added water, I’ll be honest — it looked quite messy and cloudy. Even after rinsing, there was still some dust that made the tank murky. However, once I turned on the filter, everything cleared up in less than 24 hours. After that, the water became crystal clear and the gravel looked fantastic.
Review: The best aquarium gravel, versatile and good-looking - Bought this for my shrimp tank in midnight mix blue. Its small and gets everywhere but its the best I have used. Its a lovely deep colour and looks great when the tank light's on. I wanted a sea bottom effect that would give the tank a proper under water theme and with real plants and seashell hidey holes for the shrimps i am so pleased with the effect. I have made it an uneven bottom with high points and dips this gravel is great for aquaplaning. It helps the shrimps when looking for food its easier for them to move about. I definitely recommend it. My shrimps recommend it, and I'm chuffed to say the shrimplets do too. I'm positive I saw some teeny weeny ones this morning.

**Q: What size pieces is the jet black In mm please**
A: Small pieces. About 2mm generally. Frozen pea size maximum but mostly smaller.

**Q: Would this substrate be suitable for corydoras?**
A: Corydoras will be OK in a gravel surface although they prefer something softer like sand in their natural environment. There is nothing here to catch delicate gills, it's all rounded off nicely. Give them somewhere to hide like a leafy plant to keep them happy.

**Q: How many bags would I need for a 35L tank, it's 50cm x 25cm?**
A: I used half of a bag for a 10 litre tank so I would use 3 and a half depending on what thickness you would want at the bottom of the tank

**Q: I notice buyers have received different sizes. I would like particle size of 1-2mm,   How do order to ensure the correct grade is delivered?**
