I don't see how many papers it can hold.** A: These are standard clipboard clips, so I'd guess around 20 pages max... once you attach them to something. **Q: What is the distance between the holes?** A: Not sure of the distance but on a four inch clip I would think that the holes are appr. 1/2 inch from the each end. **Q: Will this fit a 9 by 12 in clipboard?** A: I can assume the holes would be standard on each clipboard. **Q: Can hot glue these on a solid piece of wood?** A: They need to be fastened to something. They don't work otherwise. (something I wish I had realized before I bought them) However, I'm not sure hot glue will hold very well. Maybe try screws. There are holes for those. Or a stronger glue.
