The battery has 2 keys it comes with to remove the battery. The life of battery last a long time. All in all it is a GREAT ebike!!! Our family of three loves it. We bought it for our son's 14th birthday. He was in shock and thought it was a motorcycle when he first seen it. Because it looks like an old school motorcycle. When they finally did they asked for a video and I sent it to them the same day. They emailed me back saying that they could hear anything on my video. I recorded my video with my iphone. I've never recorded anything on mute or without sound. It's been a pain to get a refund and its been several weeks now. Be careful. If anything goes wrong its a pain to get any kind of service or refund. Keep in mind, this issue was out of the box.
