I have read that it damages the copper plate as quick as two months and best to use nickel or nickel plated cooling plate** A: It will destroy aluminum Discolor copper And do almost nothing to nickel plated I have been using liquid metal on my Cryorig C7G for years and it has a plate copper base, color has changed on both my CPU IHS and cooler base plate but the temperatures have not changed Tho liquid metal does dry out and so given enough time if the cooler shifts you will throttle immediately and just need to replace the liquid metal, but a correctly fitted cooler shouldn't shift **Q: Does it come withanything else or just the liquid metal?** A: It comes with syringe full of liquid metal, special quips for application of liquid metal (I think you get 2 of them), 2 heads for syringe. 1. head is for applying liquid metal and 2. head is for taking back execs of liquid metal. **Q: Can I use this for my xbox?** A: Yeah, 100%. It will be better quality than the XBOX's TIM, will help lower the temp a bit on the CPU/GPU. In turn, should keep the fan running at lower speeds - Quieter. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BE VERY CAREFUL - Experience is something you don't often get until AFTER you need it! *by A***S on 8 November 2020* READ INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED IN THE POUCH THEY SEND -> Unlike normal paste, the compound comes out of the syringe VERY easily. I assumed it was like normal paste where you can just press down and it'll slowly come out. To my surprise, it shot out and onto the case. If it lands on your motherboard or any other electrical component, game over. You're out.Second mistake, it was then over my case, so I thought you could "rub" it up, but you cannot. If you spill some or apply too much, then there's an attachment they provide where you can suck the metallic compound up. All I did was then move the compound around, making it spread more over my white case and leaving a heavy thick black residue.Despite things going this wrong, I still managed to fix everything up and had surprisingly enough compound in the tube left to go ahead and apply it onto my Threadripper. (Again very expensive components that I almost ruined from being inexperienced and being overconfident).To spread the compound you must use the swab provided. It's a special material one, and not like a generic cotton swab. You make sure you spread the compound evenly throughout the CPU which is another thing unique. I was thinking you had to do a pea drop and let the fan spread it, but this is not applicable to metal compound.So, somehow, after all this drama and mess, everything worked out well and when testing my temperatures, they were really cool. <50C (TR 3960x). Works really well and I highly advise it for getting rid of temperature issues, but be very cautious and read instructions slowly and carefully for a reason!This paste is great, but please make sure to take your time, concentrate and read instructions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cooled My 3090 Way Down 😎 *by J***K on 4 July 2021* The media could not be loaded. I'll be honest - I was s**ting a brick preparing to use this product. I saw all the horror stories online about PCs failing due to shorting out because the liquid metal leaked. I watched video after and video before applying.If you've got patience always prepare yourself, you'll be fine. I used Liquid Electric Tape from Plasti-Dip instead of the usual nail polish (can be peeled off) around the exposed components to prevent shorting and it did its job. One little ball of Liquid Metal really does go a long way and way easy to apply with thr cotton bud then provided.Long story short, it's cut my temps down from 70s to 50s (water-cooled). I genuinely could not be happier with this product. Time will tell if it carries on doing its job, but the stress test in the video of my 3090 really does speak for itself.PLAY IT SAFE THOUGH!
