Dropped it upside down from 5ft without the body and the only damage was the metal corner flattening a little. I run a 5200 battery mainly but if I’m too lazy to charge and storage it, I use a small 1800mah battery. It has insane battery life. I can go for a week without charging the 1800 battery. Maybe I’m used to bashers and on road cars but insane battery life. Fun. Only cons are the suspension have very very very little flex, and its slower than me walking. Review: Very good beginner/budget LCG with portal axles - For the price, you can't beat it! This thing is a very capable crawler. The blue one's body style would have worked better for my uses but the red just looks so pretty on this truck. You get an LCG and portal axles for this price! I did play with this thing stock and it works really well if it's for a kid or someone new to crawling. It does not come with batteries so you'll have to factor that in. I currently run this on a 2200mah 3s lipo and I get amazing times. I like to upgrade/mod things and this crawler already has some pretty good aftermarket support. Transmitter feels pretty nice in the hand and it's very easy to use. So far I've only done light modifications to this (wheels, tires, springs, shock oil, body trimming). I will say though, the ESC is kind of loud and the drag brake on it isn't the best. Even the box it came in looks good. It has a low center of gravity. So it is a good climber. It is heavier than my other RC Truck of the same 1/10 scale. It must be built a little sturdier. The Venom 5000, 30C, 2 Cell, 7.4 Volt battery works good in it. The battery came with 3 adaptors so it will work with other RC vehicles. I also have a 1984 Chevy Base Camp K10 Rock Crawler.
