Review: Excellent customer service! - This reel looks amazing! The pricing on this is well below the relative quality given. I’m not a rich guy and researched quite a bit to get the best value. I am pleased. I’ve had no problem pulling grouper off the bottom or getting a stubborn amberjack to the boat. My advice is to put high quality lubricant throughout the moving parts before you go. I realized that they can’t ship the reel if it is overly lubricated. Even with a fresh water rinse, I apparently missed the clicker mechanism. Their customer service was immediate and extremely courteous. They have a customer for life. These guys are doing it right at an amazing price point.

I have to keep my thumb on the spool if I plan to send the line out away from the boat (not a casting reel), but for trolling it works great!

**Q: Mine didn’t come with a level line guide. Is that normal.?**
A: I don't think so. My reel has one.

**Q: Is this a good reel for trolling behind a boat in the Caribbean?  Hoping to catch tuna and mahi.**
A: Very good fishing reel

**Q: Can you order a counter with this?**
A: No there is no attachment for a counter. You may be able to use some kind of universal style counter to attach.

**Q: How many feet of line does it fit in and can we use braiding lines such as Fireline?**
A: I bought 1,097 yard spool of 65 lb Kastking and spooled 3 of my reels with it. I used all of the line, and the third reel had a little less than the other two. I would say it would probably hold 400 yards or maybe a little more

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice and smooth

This reel is nice and smooth, performs well and works well on offshore fishing, on the first outing we caught quite a few fish with it. The only complaint I have with this reel is the reel knob itself. The knob is very well made out of aluminum, appears to be milled, it is very well balanced and the bearings allow for a really smooth and free operation without any mechanical resistance whatsoever however, the problem with the design is that the two halves of the knob separate very easily, the cover half was almost lost numerous times during the outing. For me the solution was easy, I applied some thread-lock to the threads of the halved knob and so far it appears to work fine. I am a little worried that eventually I’ll need to separate the two halves for maintenance and might need to use pliers to grip part of it and possibly ruin it or mar it up. So far I really like the reel and just wish there could be some kind of slight design change of the knob. The knob is the only reason I didn’t give five stars.
