How long before I can use the room again?** A: I would give it a good hour as the smell can be quite intense but I've used it in my bathroom quite extensively and it's dry after about an hour. Then I use the bathroom as normal. **Q: Once applied and dried, can it be painted over?** A: Yes. Just make sure it is completely absorbed and dried otherwise it will taint the paint. **Q: Do you spritz the wood lightly ..or leave it soaking?** A: Wet but do not soak. Two coats. Done. **Q: Can i use it on my shed which has been painted with blue wood preserver** A: As with all woodworm treatments, the recommendation is not to use on painted/ coated wood as it can’t soak into the timber. ## Frequently Bought Together - Barrettine Premier Woodworm Killer Spray 500ml - SAFEGUARD Soluguard Woodworm Treatment - Insects, Ready For Use High Strength Woodworm Killer Spray (500ml, Clear) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/56958034-barrettine-woodworm-killer-spray-500ml-ready-for-use-woodworm-treatment](https://www.desertcart.us/products/56958034-barrettine-woodworm-killer-spray-500ml-ready-for-use-woodworm-treatment) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
