Even though it’s rated for 150 lbs, I’m over 200 lbs and have been using it as a step to climb into my boat. It holds solid with no issues at all. Definitely impressed with the strength and quality. **Q: Rephrase question. what are dimension from tire mount plate to base plate?  rebuilding this unit to make a rear door mount on class b rv.**
A: 4 inches

**Q: Who do you lock the tire on ? Does it come with the lock ?**
A: There is no lock, you simply bolt the tire to the carrier.

**Q: What is the distance from the tire mount surface to the frame mount surface? In other words, how far out is the back of the wheel held from base?**
A: Quite a ways because the carrier broke off the mount the first time I used it.

**Q: Dimensional drawing? Looking to see if it will fit width of spare tire.**
A: It fit my 5.30-12 530-12 5.30 X 12 12"  trailer spare tire.

The design is smart, with a nice finish that looks durable and clean. Even though it’s rated for 150 lbs, I’m over 200 lbs and have been using it as a step to climb into my boat. It holds solid with no issues at all. Definitely impressed with the strength and quality. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable spare tire carrier!
