I bought this to help prevent it coming back. I have it upstairs on my landing between the bathroom and my bedrooms, Works great, removing excess water. Switches off when full. Has a clear display with multiple settings and clearly shows the air quality. Well worth the cost. And no more mould. Its easy to move as it is on wheels. Its inconspicuous as its a relatively small unit. Review: Works extremely well, quiet and does the job! - I'd recently built a new extension, just off the kitchen and the condensation in the winter months was beginning to become a problem, despite opening windows/doors. I had a previously purchased unit, by another manufacturer, which for some time worked well, but then became increasingly noisy and expensive to run. Having purchased this new unit, I was suprised at how small it was. On first run, it did a fantastic job and I awoke with much dryer windows/doors. The tank itself is very easy to empty, another bonus over my old unit. The operation is very quiet, hardly noticable in most cases. Features I like are the timer, which I can set for 6hrs in an evening, head off to bed, wake up the following morning with less condensation and a unit which turns itself off once the timer is complete. It moves around easily with the built in wheels and the instructions of operation were very clear and concise. I've already recommended this unit to a work collegeue and she is looking to purchase as she has the same issue with condensation in the winter months. Not sure it's supposed to turn BLACK. Fantastic! I had a mini dehumidifier because I have to dry laundry indoors, and the house also gets humid easily, and while it helped, it couldn't keep up. This one is so much better. I set it to 50% humidity on Low. Someone else said it sounds like a fridge hum, and it does. Not too loud, my standing fan is louder. Even on low, the tank was half full within hours. Day 2 (after switching it off for the night), humidity was still lower than usual, and my laundry is dry in record time. Not to mention additional features - it switches off when the tank is full, it has an auto defrost function, it's on wheels if you need to move it, you can clean the filter, and it remembers the humidity level you set. I mean, what's not to love?
