The STROFT FC 1 has probably the highest load capacity achieved with cords made from 100% fluorocarbon. Special attention is paid to the tuning of the knot load capacity, which are individually trimmed to best values for each diameter. Due to this very important feature and the other beneficial properties of STROFT fluorocarbon, such as abrasion resistance, sinking behavior, fine load elongation, strike elongation, casting behaviour fly leader tip, durability and visibility/invisibility, STROFT FC 1 is ideal for all types of leaders. Speaking of properties, a main difference between fluorocarbon cords and polyamide cords, which is often discussed controversially in the trade press, is the stretch, or better the stretching behaviour at different line loads. For example, the blue curve of the polyamide alloys of GTM and ABR shows a wave-shaped characteristic, while the black dashed characteristic of FC 1 and FC 2 represents a straight line that shows the blue curve at approx. 50% line load cuts. This means: in the high load range, FC 1 and FC 2 have a greater elongation than GTM and ABR, in the strike area, the stretch of the cords is quite similar, in the fine load range, the elongation of FC 1 and FC 2 is lower, i.e. -> better sensitivity, feedback, bite perception. All the features that the user also clearly feels in practice. If these fine load properties are desired, FC 1 and FC 2 are also the first choice as the main line.
