No. All vise grip products are manufactured in China. **Q: What does 4WR mean?** A: I'm not an Irwin rep or anything, but from what I can tell, the 4WR means it's a 4" General Purpose Curved Jaw type. The general purpose pliers have a wire cutter in the jaw, as opposed to some of their other models which don't have one. The 4" model is quite small ... handy for keeping in your briefcase or pocket and useful for getting at small hardware in tight places, but if you're looking for a standard sized set of vice grip pliers, this isn't it. **Q: Do these work well for cracking the nuts in shells or other size is needed?
