Reaches areas iv had difficulty trimming ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wish I'd bought one years ago! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 November 2018* I have hedges that are 8ft and taller so have always needed to perch on ladders with a conventional hedge trimmer. This device makes the job easier and quicker, and its blade is sharp too. One hedge has become deep and, although I still need a ladder, I could reach across with relative ease. The 10m of cable means I cdon't need another extension cable.Much as I like it, I haven't given this this trimmer 5 stars for a few reasons. As others have said, it is heavy, especially after a while using it even partially extended. The cable is black which, given the body is orange, seems odd for an outdoor electric device as it's easy to lose sight of and catch. In putting it together, I had to file off some minor burrs which prevented the extension tube fitting into the trimmer.Otherwise, a great piece of equipment for the price. I would recommend having one of these as well as a conventional trimmer, given its advantages of reach but disadvantage of weight. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy but works well *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 July 2026* Firstly, the instructions on how to fix it together are very small pictures with no explanation. There isn't many parts so you can work it out, it just takes a few minutes. Mark my words this unit is heavy (as I suspect they perhaps all are) but hopefully that means it's robust and will last a long time. The flip side is that you wouldn't want to be using this unit constantly for a couple of hours, you will probably need to take quite a few breaks. It appears to cut well. Getting the blade at the right angle so you stand comfortably to cut a hedge is a little bit of trial and error but there is a lot of positions in the head and also a locking wheel to make sure it doesn't move while cutting.
